The Grande Collecte of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
 
After the success of the centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the collection record for the Association, 
the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (A.C.O.) is taking on a new challenge:
To save 24 children in 2024!

To get there, Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, historical association of the mythical race,
launches a major solidarity movement to finance 24 operations for children with heart disease 
with the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Thank you to our donors!

Sponsorship Cardiac Surgery allows children with heart defects 
to be operated when this is impossible in their country, due to a lack of technical or financial means. 
They are then supported in 11 French cities (Angers, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Paris, 
Saint-Denis de La Réunion, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Tours) and 2 Swiss cities (Geneva and Lausanne). 
In France, they are hosted by volunteer host families and in Switzerland in a specialized home. 
Each operation is financed by the association and costs €12,000.

Nearly 4,500 children have been supported since the creation of the Association in 1996 by Professor Francine Leca.
